Privacy
TRADUCTA attaches great importance to the protection and confidentiality of its clients’ privacy, and especially their personal data. In that connection, this Confidentiality Policy is designed to enable you to understand what kind of personal data we collect and what we do with those data, as well as how to protect your privacy in the context of the services that we provide.
1. WHAT KIND OF DATA DOES TRADUCTA COLLECT ABOUT YOU?
In the context of requests for its services, and whilst providing them, TRADUCTA collects the following categories of data: Identification data (surname, first name, postal and e-mail addresses, telephone number, etc.), document(s) to be translated, curriculum vitae, etc.
2. HOW DOES TRADUCTA USE YOUR DATA?
TRADUCTA uses your data as necessary for the purposes of carrying out and managing translation orders, and the business relationship in general. This includes, inter alia, the processing of your translation requests, invoicing, the handling of complaints, claims and disputes, and recovery procedures, including those conducted through third parties. Those data are retained throughout the duration of the business relationship and/or for the statutorily prescribed period. Without them, TRADUCTA would be unable to carry out the work needed in order to fulfil its clients’ requirements. If you cease to be a client, your data will be deleted five years after your last contact with us. As to the documents translated, these will be retained for ten years. The personal data of individuals applying for a job with us or seeking to work with us are retained for two years. TRADUCTA shall be entitled to use your data in order to comply with its legal obligations (including those to which it is subject under the legislation on combatting fraud and money-laundering and the statutory rules concerning delays in payment, or non-payment, by the client) and/or to meet requests for information received from public and governmental authorities.
3. HOW CAN YOU MANAGE THE WAY IN WHICH YOUR DATA ARE COLLECTED AND USED?
You are entitled at any time to access your data, to rectify them, to request their deletion, to object to their being processed where you have legitimate grounds for doing so by reason of your particular situation, and/or to exercise your right to data portability. However, data needed by TRADUCTA for the purpose for which they have been collected, and/or which are required in order to comply with a legal obligation and/or for the establishment, exercise or defence of rights in law, cannot be deleted. Should you consider that a complaint made by you against TRADUCTA has not been satisfactorily addressed and resolved, you can approach the Commission nationale pour la protection des données (CNPD – National Data Protection Commission), which is the statutory body tasked with supervising and enforcing compliance with obligations relating to personal data.
